So we learn that Chloe is pregnant. That’s bad. Really really bad. It will lead to:
- Chloe’s baby will be kidnapped. So she’s forced to do shit in CTU she really doesn’t wanna do. The situation could be resolved in 10 minutes by telling Jack, but she won’t do it, because she’s afraid harm will come to her child. *sigh* (Now and in the following I won’t list scenes from previous seasons where the same thing happened.) Unavoidable conversation between Jack and Chloe: Just because you risked your child for the job/because of the job doesn’t mean I’m ready to/have to risk mine…
- Season 7 begins 8.5 months later. Chloe’s a few “days” from giving birth (but everyone knows from the start it will happen at the end of the day/season). It’ll also be unclear why a pregnant woman in her last trimester’s still working. Okay, okay. It’s Chloe, she’s just needed. Now - the stress level is as high as usual, so Chloe has to lie down for 10 minutes every hour/episode, usually with Jack at the phone yelling at her “WE DON’T HAVE TIME!!!”. At the end of the day she gives birth, Jack delivers (or helps, maybe on the phone, while fighting off some bad guys) the child (eventually becomes the godfather) and pictures are made with the whole family, like in Lethal Weapon 4. Yeah, tell us about pros being back, AGAIN. The child may not have some things necessary for life yet, but it’s already safe from terrorists thanks to Uncle Jack (until it’s kidnapped again, because of the parents jobs).
- She’s at home because of the child. Yes, we learn this shocking truth and are surprised by it. Meaning she won’t be in all episodes, but will be reactivated some eps into the season. Jack has to convince her, to come back to work (successful of course), although she’s worried about her child all the time. Maybe she will insist that the baby is taken to some secured place, a safe house (so she has to worry less during the job), which is probably already in use as the terrorist-headquarters… (back to option one)
- Didn’t Chloe already have a baby at CTU she had to take care of? Like in Season 3? (Damn, and I tried so hard to NOT mention what had previously happened…) It was somehow connected to Jack’s daughter or… Whatever. The baby will scream and do all the usual baby stuff, so all CTU discussions are about being distracted by that.
- Jack’s back together with this woman, the Chinese had hostage, uhm, yes - Audrey. She’s now pregnant too. She and Chloe give birth simultaneously and it’s Lethal Weapon 4 all over again! AGAIN!!! Family photos!!! Photo albums at the end!!! Even the evil president no one likes (and everyone makes fun of) is allowed in the picture, at least he was in some seasons too.
- Worst option: Since Chloe took care of a baby for Kim, Chloe calls in Kim to return the favor… Kim will do the whole dreaded Kim routine and make the entire Season into torture, even when no actual torture is shown on screen. Maybe a puma will endanger the infant (Kim flees brilliantly with the child from the safe house/terrorist HQ into the next, magically near woods) and Kim pulls from her rich experience with wild animals to save it, or make a phone call (from the bunker of her crazy buddy, because her cell doesn’t work) and let someone else do the trick (after the baby saves her from “bunker-boy”).
- Chloe just says “go to hell” to everyone and leaves (with her offspring), never to be seen again. Countless people die (like always, so no real difference there) and chaos controls CTU until Home Sec and/or NASA take over. Without CTU support Jack has to do the job alone/completely on his own (like always).
Hopefully I’m wrong (in which case they will probably save those ideas for the 24 major motion picture, and/or Season 8
)…

I think you’re just being paranoid. Knowing that someone is pregnant won’t necessarily lead to all of those misfortunes. Remember that the child in Chloe’s womb is heaven sent. It’s an angel thus it should be considered as a blessing and not a liability.
Just calm down. Don’t think of those bad things — the more that you think about those things, the more that will come true. So, think of the nice things instead.

Right, maybe there’s an entire 24 TFS (=The Family Season) coming.
Room for another posting.

LOOOOL first off, there isnt even going to be a CTU so there goes your theory, and the preview for season 7 is already out, not even close.
October 25, 2007 at 1:54 pm
Yes, that’s true, but I wrote it in _May_ - no one knew at this date the next season would be without CTU. At least Chloe will be back.

Wow you are a fucking retard. They DID release that information to a lot of people before you posted this, you just needed to do your research. And I hope that Chloe is finally gotten rid of this season. One of the worst characters to enter the show IMO.

Research? For a satirical comment? It’s a little contradictory to take it that serious, don’t you think?
And no, over 6 month ago all information was rumor-based, more or less. Before Season _5_ was filmed, a rumor said there would be no CTU any longer. And it proved to be false. For 2 entire Seasons. So when the same was said before Season 7, I didn’t give it much credit. Besides, if “CTU or no CTU” will make a real difference is yet to be seen. The trailer shows lots of guys with headsets doing “CTU-similar things”. So maybe it will be just called different, but end up being the same with a new title. They can’t show only Jack and the bad guys in all episodes, there will be other layers.
I hope Chloe survives.

ALL YALL ARE CRAZY. THERE IS ONLY ONE THING YALL NEED TO REMEMBER. ANYONE CAN GET KILLED AT ANYTIME. THIS SHOW CAN GO ONE FOREVER AND EVER. iT DOESNT HAVE TO BE A CTU OR ANY OTHER NEW NAME FOR IT. JACK WILL NEVER DIE AND WHEN THE WRITERS DECIDE THIS IT WILL BE A SEASON FINALE AND THE END OF 24. IMAGINE 24 WITH SOME OTHER GUY AS THE NEW JACK. i BET YOU WONT WATCH IT.

WHats wrong with you ??? Chloe is the BEST!! and the funniesnt! you are probbably soo dumb that you dont understand the jokes! Apart from jack shes my Favourtie Charecter
February 3, 2008 at 5:26 pm
OMG! After this season there is only one more… :[
Yes CTU is gone but that does not mean chloe is going ta die or leave… ya jack is all by himself but everyone knows jack will win this fight…
Tony was a pain in the ass the first season ta jack so why wouldn’t he be now…
Just cause he lost his wife does not mean he should start acting evil…unless somone really did piss him off…I just now finished all the seasons and there is only one thing I can’t take….it was at the end of season 5…how beat up jack was I hated what he looked like…I watched one episode and got so attached…
Well enjoy season 7 it has already started!

Chloe’s a great character–and she’s freaking hilarious! Without her, the show would now be called 48 (hey, not a bad idea…). Also, I’m glad Tony Almeida’s coming back. I don’t get why people are so damn skeptical about his return–we *thought* he was dead, but he’s not~~Even under the circumstances, it’s totally possible. Jack thought Victor Drazen was dead (season 1) but he finds out he’s not. I know it’s not that simple, but hey..that’s TV for ya..
February 5, 2008 at 11:16 pm
For me, Tonys return redeems the (audible) ticking clock in Season 6 (when he “died”). I used to think it was a mistake.
March 4, 2008 at 5:57 pm
The clock was purposefully left with audio when Tony ‘died’ so that it wasn’t cut and dry that he was actually dead.
As for Season 7, I’m hoping the absence of CTU forces the writers to be a bit more creative. Much as I love the show I don’t think we could take one more mole in CTU. Oh, and if someone challenges the President under the 25th ammendment or whatever it is (I’m in the UK so know nix about the US constitution) I’m going to throw something through my TV…
Chloe, for my money (which is worth waaaay more than your devalued dollar *roguish grin*), is one of the better characters on the show. Yes she’s a pain in the arse, yes she’s stroppy, but she adds a welcome dose of humour to the show. Morris too, he had some great sarky moments in season 6.
As for Tony, do we *really* need him back, spending all his screen time tilting his head and letting bis mouth hang open as he always seems to do…
I’m done.

I’m with you, Rich - the 25th Amendment gag has been done enough, not only in this show but others. I also agree that ‘resurrecting’ Almeida isn’t particularly original or desirable.
IMO, they should put Jack in a position of leadership where, instead of putting his life at risk all the time, he’s forced to put others’ lives at risk - and not just field agents but civilians as well.
The whole series is about what Jack has to do while faced with impossible situations. I’m not pleased, though, that one of those situations will be explaining himself to some privileged nancy of a Congressman.
March 25, 2008 at 5:20 am
I’m still racking my brains on why the hell tony is being brought back. Be it him being ‘evil’ now or not doesn’t really matter.
March 25, 2008 at 6:24 am
Well, without trying to bash or anything like that - after 6 seasons of 24 most things are said and done. It’s just that the cash still flows…

Jack tortured tons of people, died himself (twice!), got caught by the Chinese and tortured too… How do they still intend to shock people after all this? Vampire bites every 5 minutes just won’t do it.
I’m not even saying that the next Season will be bad, how could I, before it was even shot. They know how to thrill.
However, I’m pretty much expecting that it will feel mostly like a re-hash of previous seasons. More than enough content in the last few seasons already did. Even die hard fans will have to admit it.
I could do an entry, which lists all similar events in the show, but that would be much harder than a little satire like this posting.
I always thought, the Season ending, where he walks into the sunset along the railroad tracks would have been a beautiful way to go out and _end_ the series. Would have made a fitting ending to this character. Can’t come much better/cooler than this.

cut it off……..lets relax and see whats gonna happen.
